Athletic Events

We at OSIA in the State of New Jersey believe that friendly competition is a good way to bring people together. It is our intention to support the inter-lodge events. At the present time approximately 1/3 of our lodges participate in our Bocce League, which competes from April through September at our State Lodge facility in Cherry Hill. Additionally the local lodges throughout the year schedule a number of golf outings. With recent addition of a horseshoe court, we are looking to expand into other sporting competitions as the interest arises such as softball, horseshoes, etc.

Social Events

Social interaction, especially around food, is a benchmark of Italian Heritage. No one enters an Italian home and leaves hungry. Over the past year OSIA has run a number of social events ranging from the Black Tie affairs such as our Purple Aster Ball to casual entertainment of the pig roast or beef and beer dinner dances. Additional events include fashion shows, operatic, historical, and cultural presentations. Our intention is to provide events that appeal to all facets of our membership's interest.
